Glaser Weil Advises Wyatt Technology in Its $1.36B Acquisition by Waters Corporation

Glaser Weil represented Wyatt Technology, a pioneer in innovative light scattering and field-flow fractionation instruments, software, accessories and services, in its $1.36 billion acquisition by Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), a global leader in analytical instruments and software.

Wyatt accelerates Waters' ability to build a high-growth business in bioanalytical characterization for new modalities, which include cell and gene therapies—a significant opportunity with a $1.8 billion total addressable market and 10-12% projected annual growth.

The deal was announced on February 15, 2023, and closed May 16, 2023.

The Glaser Weil deal team was co-led by corporate partners Roger Howard and Matthew Jann, and included partner Jeffrey Soza and associate Myriam Biz; and on intellectual property matters Lawrence Hadley and Stephen Underwood.
