Charles A. Martin is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate Department. Charles’ practice focuses on corporate transactions, securities and governance matters. He has significant experience advising clients throughout the life cycle of their businesses and across a range of industries.
Recognized for his meticulous and strategic approach, Charles understands that legal challenges do not exist in a vacuum—they are intertwined with his clients’ broader business goals. He takes the time to understand their priorities, offering practical, forward-thinking advice that drives growth and long-term success.

Before joining Glaser Weil, Charles gained extensive experience at several leading law firms. In these roles, he represented clients across the energy, healthcare, media and technology industries. His experience includes advising on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, structuring and negotiating secured credit facilities for renewable energy projects, and managing complex transactions involving various financial, regulatory and political stakeholders.
Charles earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Western Michigan University. He has been recognized among the Lawyers on the Fast Track by the California Legal Awards and named to the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40. He is admitted to practice in California and Michigan and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

- A global bank providing secured credit facilities for utility-scale energy projects, including a $140 million facility for a portfolio of battery storage projects.*
