Glaser Weil Represents SC Fuels in Divestiture of Branded Fuel Distribution Division

Glaser Weil represented SC Fuels, one of the oldest and largest petroleum distributors in the United States, in the sale of its branded fuel distribution division to Boyett Petroleum.

SC Fuels, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, has long been a key player in the distribution of branded gasoline and diesel products across California and the Western U.S., including brands such as Shell, Marathon, Valero, 76 and Sinclair. This strategic transaction marks SC Fuels’ exit from the branded fuel business, allowing the company to focus on other core areas of its operations.

Boyett Petroleum, a family-owned and independent fuel supplier based in Modesto, California, is acquiring the division. Known for its strong presence in the Western and Central U.S., Boyett is a premier distributor and retailer of both branded and unbranded petroleum products.

The Glaser Weil team was led by Marc Indeglia, Partner and Co-chair of the Corporate Department, with support from Jason Grinnell, Partner in the Real Estate Department, and Corporate Associate Charles Martin.
