Overview

Gianna Segretti is a litigation associate in Glaser Weil’s Newport Beach office who represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial disputes. Her experience includes business litigation, bankruptcy-related disputes, real estate disputes, wrongful foreclosure, breach of contract, business torts and unfair business practices, as well as complex Chapter 11 proceedings.

Gianna has experience handling all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediation and trial preparation. She has managed high-volume matters from inception through resolution, leading case strategy, coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, and overseeing discovery and settlement negotiations. She also brings substantial experience guiding clients through mediation and negotiating favorable resolutions.

  • Bankruptcy- and restructuring-related disputes

Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Gianna practiced at an Am Law 50 firm, where she represented clients in complex commercial litigation and corporate restructuring matters. Her experience includes advising debtors, creditors, lenders, borrowers, landlords and other stakeholders in state, federal and bankruptcy courts. She served as lead associate on numerous litigation and Chapter 11 matters, managing all aspects of case development, strategy and resolution.

Gianna earned her J.D., cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she graduated with a High Technology Law Certificate with honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She received multiple academic distinctions, including Witkin Awards in Contracts and Consumer Law and a CALI Award in Mediation, and was an active member of the Honors Moot Court program, where she earned recognition for her written advocacy. Gianna earned her B.A. in Classical Civilizations from the University of California, Berkeley, with a minor in Dance and Performance Studies.
