Glaser Weil Represents EarthGrid in Groundbreaking JV with EnerTech, Enables $18B in U.S. Infrastructure Projects

Glaser Weil represented EarthGrid, a Bay-area plasma tunnel-boring technology and infrastructure development company, in its joint venture agreement with EnerTech to deploy infrastructure projects in across the United States, Europe and the Middle East. The first two phases consist of approximately $18 billion in U.S. infrastructure improvement projects, enabling more than 100 gigawatts of new renewable energy to be added across the country.

EarthGrid specializes in proprietary, groundbreaking plasma tunnel-boring technology that can revolutionize the grid infrastructure in the U.S. Its goal is to create a network of underground tunnels to transmit clean energy and high-speed broadband across the U.S. EnerTech is a Kuwait-based state-owned entity owned by Kuwait Investment Authority, currently one of the world's oldest and largest sovereign wealth funds. EnerTech's mission is to initiate its own development projects and participate in projects within the energy, clean technology, recycling, water, waste management and renewable energy sectors. 

The Glaser Weil team was led by Partner Jeff Joyner, who managed an international team of attorneys and advisors, and included partners Aman Badyal, Brett Cohen, Jason Grinnell, Thomas Hanley, Marc Indeglia, Peter Sheridan and Jeffrey Soza, and associates Gabriel Kiss, Lara Petersen, Tigran Samvelyan and Josephine Wu.
