Glaser Weil Attains Jury Verdict on All Claims in Oil and Gas Royalty and Elder Abuse Trial
Glaser Weil successfully represented a private energy company focused on the acquisition and management of oil and gas mineral interests in a high-stakes commercial dispute tried over three weeks in Riverside Superior Court.
The litigation team pursued the client’s allegations that a former business associate had wrongfully retained substantial royalty payments related to mineral interests in North Dakota. In response, the opposing party filed a retaliatory elder abuse claim seeking significant damages, including punitive damages.
