Glaser Weil’s real estate team has successfully represented Chartwell Properties group and its principal, Fred Fern, in a number of significant real estate transactions over the past year on El Paseo, Palm Desert’s premier mile-long boulevard, often celebrated as the “Rodeo Drive of the Desert.”

Last year, Glaser Weil’s real estate team represented the group in new leases with multiple national retail tenants—including Restoration Hardware, Vuori, Faherty Brands, Warby Parker, Free People, Soma, Chico’s and White House/Black Market.

Last year and this year, the Firm represented the group, in a refinancings of several of its retail centers in Palm Desert.

Most recently, in two separate transactions, Glaser Weil represented the clients in its acquisition of three additional retail centers on El Paseo. With these acquisitions, the Chartwell Properties group now controls a total of nine retail centers on El Paseo.

These matters reflect Glaser Weil’s ability to handle sophisticated, time-sensitive real estate transactions while delivering efficient, seamless execution for our clients. The deal team is led by Real Estate Partner Thomas Hanley with support from Partner Jason Grinnell and Associate Tigran Samvelyan.
