On September 14, 2017, Peter Sheridan, Partner and Chair of Glaser Weil’s Construction Law Practice, was inducted as a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) and proudly accepted the Construction Lawyers Society of America’s Law Firm Award on behalf of his Construction Law Practice Group at Glaser Weil.

This award, which recognizes North American law firms for excellence in construction law, was presented at a black tie gala during the CLSA 2017 International Conference & Induction of Fellows at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

Honorees were selected for significant achievements in construction law based upon independent research by the society and input of CLSA Fellows who sit on the CLSA Law Firm Awards Committee.

Peter also presented at the CLSA two-day seminar the article he wrote with Alexander Linhardt entitled, "Managing the Battlefield: Using a Uniform Multi-Party Construction Arbitration Agreement". That has now been published by the Journal of the American College of Construction Lawyers (Vol. 11, No. 1) and, more recently, in the ABA Commercial & Business Litigation Newsletter.

The Construction Lawyers Society of America is an invitation-only, selective and limited membership international association of the world’s best construction lawyers. The composition of the CLSA is aggressively diverse, with recognition of deserving, experienced and highly qualified lawyers across all practices relating to the construction industry.

Mr. Sheridan and his experienced Construction Law Practice Group have a winning track record resulting from the hard work necessary to succeed in these complex matters.  Mr. Sheridan’s focus on construction has also allowed him to develop a specialty in construction disputes involving hotels, casinos and resorts, such as the Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara; Diamond Resorts in Kaanapali, Maui and Poipu, Kauai; City Center in Las Vegas; mega‐resort Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas; and La Quinta Resort in La Quinta, California.

While Mr. Sheridan focuses primarily on construction law, he and his team also handle eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases, among many other disputes he is asked to litigate for his diverse clientele.
