Patricia L. Glaser Celebrated as Variety’s 2026 Power of Law Award Honoree
Glaser Weil is exceptionally proud to share that Patricia L. Glaser, partner and head of the Firm’s Litigation Department, has been named the sole recipient of Variety’s 2026 Power of Law Award. Presented annually to a legal leader whose work has profoundly shaped the entertainment industry, the Power of Law Award recognizes Glaser’s extraordinary career as one of the nation’s most accomplished and influential trial attorneys, as well as her enduring commitment to philanthropy, mentorship and community leadership. Her selection reflects a legacy defined not only by legal excellence and impact, but also by integrity and service.
As head of Glaser Weil’s Litigation Department, Glaser has built and led one of the country’s most formidable trial practices, representing major studios, global brands, financial institutions, high-profile talent, entertainment executives and production companies in bet-the-company disputes. Under her leadership, the Firm’s litigation team has grown to more than 60 attorneys, earning a reputation for market‑leading advocacy.
Beyond the courtroom, Glaser is a deeply engaged leader within Los Angeles’s cultural and philanthropic communities. She serves on the boards of prominent arts organizations including the Los Angeles Music Center Theatre Group and The Geffen Playhouse, and is an active producer of theatrical works. Her civic and academic leadership includes service on the Board of Trustees of the AltaMed Foundation, the Board of Governors of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as Vice Chair of the Western Region of the American Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and on the UCLA Israel Studies Program Advisory Board. Her philanthropic support spans arts and film—including the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, the Israel Film Festival and The Paley Center for Media—as well as organizations dedicated to children and families in crisis, healthcare, civil rights and access to justice.
