Overview
Luis Ramos is a litigation associate in Glaser Weil’s San Diego office whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.
Luis is adept at building compelling narratives out of voluminous facts and leverages these skills in his work as a litigator to bring clarity and context to complex subjects.
Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Luis had practiced law at both a nationally-recognized healthcare litigation firm and an Am Law 50 law firm. During this time, Luis gained experience working on various aspects of litigation: drafting and responding to written discovery; e-discovery; motion practice; conducting witness interviews; arbitration and mediation; third-party subpoenas; and negotiating settlements.
During law school, Luis served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Honorable Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. He earned his J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he served as the submissions editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law and was a student clerk at the East Bay Community Law Center. Luis also earned his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in history from the University of Chicago, where he was a professor of history. He earned his B.A. in history from UCLA.

- A San Diego biotech company in a patent infringement and business torts dispute.*
- Various skilled nursing facilities in appeals of denial of payment and allegations of substandard quality of care, including citation and deficiency survey findings.
- A physician in a dispute involving misappropriation of his credentials.*
- A health clinic in a dispute with the state related to erroneous allegations of fraud, and constitutional violations.*
- An e-commerce company in connection with regulatory compliance and risk analysis.*
