Leventhal Appointed Chair of the Federal Bar Association’s Constitution and Bylaws Committee
Glaser Weil is proud to announce that Joseph Leventhal, Partner and Head of Litigation for the San Diego office, has been appointed Chair of the Federal Bar Association’s Constitution & Bylaws Committee for FY2026.
The appointment, made by incoming FBA President Judge Karoline Mehalchick, recognizes Leventhal’s longstanding commitment to the legal profession and his leadership within the FBA. As Chair, he will help guide the committee in refining the association’s governing framework to better serve its members and the broader legal community.
Leventhal has led jury trial teams in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations involving First Amendment protections, class actions, IP infringement, employment claims and other complex business matters. His involvement with the FBA is extensive—he served as President of the San Diego Chapter in 2015, during which the chapter saw record growth in membership, fundraising and programming, including its first Women in the Law Conference and law student moot court competition.
He also chaired the Southern District of California’s 50th Anniversary Committee at the request of the Chief Judge, and has served in leadership roles for the Ninth Circuit Lawyer Representatives and the Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel. Leventhal currently serves as Vice President of the San Diego Federal Bar Foundation.
Glaser Weil congratulates him on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to the impact he will make in this important role.
