Glaser Weil’s Real Estate Bench Grows with Addition of Elizabeth Dryden
Glaser Weil is excited to announce that Elizabeth Dryden has joined the Firm as a Real Estate Partner in its Century City office. Dryden is a highly regarded real estate attorney with extensive experience advising clients on sophisticated transactional matters across all major asset classes.
Dryden’s practice encompasses a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions; office, retail, multifamily and other commercial leasing; real estate financings; joint venture and syndication formations; and affordable housing transactions. She routinely represents property owners and developers, private equity sponsors, lenders and high‑net‑worth individuals in transactions involving both stabilized and transitional assets.
With a strong background in finance, Dryden focuses on structuring and negotiating complex real estate finance transactions. Her experience includes representing borrowers and lenders in connection with mezzanine and other subordinate debt, preferred equity investments, joint venture capital structures, syndicated credit facilities, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loans, bridge financings and construction loans. She is widely recognized for her ability to bridge legal and business considerations, helping clients execute transactions efficiently while managing risk.
“Elizabeth is an exceptional addition to our partnership,” said Peter Weil, Managing Partner of Glaser Weil. “She brings a sophisticated understanding of real estate capital structures and a proven ability to handle complex deals across asset classes. She is a terrific fit for our real estate group, and we are thrilled to welcome her to Glaser Weil.”
“Glaser Weil’s depth of talent, sophisticated platform and client-focused approach make this an exciting next chapter for me,” Dryden said. “I’m looking forward to building on my practice and working closely with colleagues across the firm.”
Partner and Real Estate Department Chair Brett Cohen added: “Her depth of experience in complex real estate and finance transactions, combined with her practical, business‑oriented approach, will greatly benefit our clients and strengthen the Firm’s growing real estate practice.”
Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Dryden practiced at a Beverly Hills‑based full‑service law firm, where she was a partner, as well as at several Am Law 100 firms with nationally recognized finance and transactional practices. Across these roles, she developed deep experience representing lenders and borrowers in sophisticated real estate and corporate finance transactions.
Dryden earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as Senior Production Editor of the Journal of Law & Business, and received her undergraduate degree in economics and philosophy from Columbia University.
