Overview

Andrew “Andy” Baum is an experienced trial attorney and litigation partner in Glaser Weil’s Century City office. When it comes to challenging, high-stakes disputes, Andy is a vigorous advocate for his clients. He has successfully litigated, tried and resolved multimillion-dollar claims in a wide variety of business and litigation matters, including partnership disputes, employment actions, and consumer and class action claims. He has particularly deep experience representing clients in the entertainment industry as well as public entities, including local governments.

Andy understands business and the effects litigation has on it. He also understands that sometimes the best litigation strategy may not be the best business strategy. This enables him to effectively assess a client’s objectives and efficiently assert or defend their interests. His clients have included the County of Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai, Hoag Orthopedic Institute, Los Angeles Media Fund, MGM Resorts, CB Richard Ellis and Fidelity National Financial Inc.

Andy is particularly sought for:

  • Entertainment litigation
  • Complex commercial litigation
  • Consumer and class action claims

Andy received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, and his law degree from Loyola Law School. Under the California State Bar’s Certified Law Students program, Andy tried and won more than 20 civil cases before graduating from law school.

He was recognized by Lawdragon among the “500 Leading Litigators in America,” and he is consistently named a “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation. He was included in Variety’s Legal Impact Report and named a “Legal Visionary” by the LA Times.
