Peter Sheridan Among Irish Legal 100

Glaser Weil congratulates Partner Peter Sheridan on two recent honors: selection to the Irish Legal 100 list and ranking of the Firm and his Construction Law Practice Group by U.S. News and World Report and Best Lawyers.

Mr. Sheridan’s inclusion on the Irish Legal 100 list places him among the very best lawyers, judges and law professionals of Irish descent in the United States. Honorees are selected because of their accomplishments and distinguished service to the law profession.

This year’s Irish Legal 100 includes Robert S. Bennett, Esq. and U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy. Mr. Sheridan traces his roots back five generations to County Cavan, Ireland, from which his ancestors emigrated to New York in the early 1800s and then on to Iowa later in the century.

Sheridan serves as chair of Glaser Weil’s Construction Law Department, which was recently ranked among the “Best Law Firms” of 2014 by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. Firms and departments included on the list are recognized for professional excellence and have persistently impressive ratings from clients and peers. Achieving a tiered ranking signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise.

During his 25 year career handling complex and high-profile matters, the veteran litigator has helped clients recover more than $225 million in settlements and judgments. While he focuses primarily on construction law, he also handles eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases, among many other disputes he is asked to litigate for his diverse clientele. Sheridan, a Pacific Palisades resident and father of two, also serves, and has served, on boards at St. Matthew’s Parish in Pacific Palisades, Loyola High School of Los Angeles and Willamette College of Law in Salem, Oregon.
