Partner and Intellectual Property Department Chair Lawrence M. Hadley has been named to the Daily Journal’s list of Top Intellectual Property Lawyers 2026, recognizing leading attorneys in patent litigation, trademark and copyright law.

With more than 30 years of experience, Hadley is a first-chair trial and appellate lawyer who represents technology-driven clients in complex IP disputes across federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. His work spans industries including computer hardware and software, wireless communications, medical devices and transportation systems.

Daily Journal highlighted Hadley’s engineering background and early maritime experience, which continue to inform his ability to navigate highly technical matters and present them clearly and persuasively. Known for his strategic, business-focused approach, he regularly takes on well-resourced opponents and delivers strong results in high-stakes disputes.

Among his recent matters, Hadley has led significant patent litigation on behalf of Nartron involving technology foundational to modern touchscreen systems. In disputes with major technology companies, he successfully defended key patents through challenges before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and on appeal to the Federal Circuit, securing rulings that upheld the majority of asserted claims.

This recognition reflects Hadley’s deep experience, technical insight and continued leadership in the intellectual property field.
