Glaser Weil is pleased to announce Barbara M. Rubin, partner and co-chair of entertainment has been selected to Variety’s “Dealmakers Impact Report.”

Featured for yet another year, Ms. Rubin was hand-selected as a “top-negotiator that has kept Hollywood humming.” This coveted recognition was bestowed upon her for her assortment of clients, including, including Martin Sheen, Anonymous Content and station owner E.W. Scripps Media, which in September announced the planned acquisition of national broadcaster Ion Media for $2.65 billion.

Additionally, the entertainment publication highlighter her educational efforts at Loyola Law School, where she teaches and advises industry-focused students.

Commenting on this year’s unprecedented pandemic, “All business is personal, and we’ve lost much of that human touch,” said Ms. Rubin.

Going into greater detail on the new-normal and uncharted territory, she stated, “by Zooming we’ve gotten to peek into our business colleagues’ homes. They too have demanding children and messy rooms with bad lighting. Might this bring new empathy to our business?”
