Glaser Weil Real Estate Attorney Dora de la Rosa Recognized as a "Top Minority Leader of Influence: Attorneys" by the Los Angeles Business Journal

Glaser Weil is pleased to announce that Dora de la Rosa was featured in the 2021 list of "Top Minority Leaders of Influence: Attorneys" by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

Since joining the Firm's Real Estate Department in 2019, Ms. de la Rosa has been an impactful member of her practice group. Her path to Glaser Weil has been non­ traditional and inspiring. The daughter of Mexican immigrants who came to the United States via the Bracero Program in the 1940s and 1950's, she was born in Los Angeles and attended LAUSD schools. She received a B.A. in History from UC Berkeley and a J.D. from Boalt Hall, UC Berkeley.

After practicing law for 14 years, Ms. de la Rosa took a 14-year hiatus to raise her two young children. In 2014, by then an empty-nester, she decided to return to the legal field. Ms. de la Rosa applied to OnRamp, a pilot re-entry program that sought to match women lawyers returning to the workforce after a career hiatus with law firms and legal departments. Following a few years in big law, Ms. de la Rosa was excited to join Glaser Weil.

As a founding member of the Firm's Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Ms. de la Rosa focuses her efforts on diversity & inclusive recruiting and retention for the Firm. Her recent work includes planning and hosting a virtual lunch for recruiters with an emphasis on diverse recruiting practices. Ms. de la Rosa crafted materials introducing the Firm's Diversity & Inclusion Committee and introduced the goals for the future of the Firm.

As a real estate attorney Ms. de la Rosa represents institutional lenders, borrowers, investors, sellers, and buyers in a variety of commercial real estate transactions. These include acquisitions and dispositions, construction and development, leasing, and debt and equity financing. Her practice has dealt with a variety of projects, including hotels, office, retail, industrial, multi-family and mixed-use projects, as well as residential properties, and vacant land.
