Brizolis, Leventhal, Petrossian and Sperling Selected for Elite List of SD Metro’s 2025 Top Attorneys
Glaser Weil is proud to announce that four of its San Diego partners—Alex Brizolis, Joseph Leventhal, Emil Petrossian and Elizabeth Sperling—have been named to SD Metro’s 2025 “Top Attorneys” list.
The annual recognition honors a select group of legal professionals making a significant impact in the San Diego community. This year’s list includes just 17 attorneys—making it especially noteworthy that four Glaser Weil San Diego partners earned a spot.
Alex Brizolis is a trial lawyer with a robust practice in complex business and real estate litigation, including matters involving fraud, unfair competition and corporate control. His recent wins include a $26 million settlement for a government client in fraud litigation and a successful emergency arbitration for a charter school recovering trade secrets.
Emil Petrossian, managing partner of the San Diego office, represents major businesses and corporations in high-stakes commercial disputes nationwide. Known for his trial and appellate work, he recently secured a complete summary judgment and $1.6 million fee award for Gensler in a complex indemnity matter related to hotel construction.
Joseph Leventhal, head of litigation for the Firm’s San Diego office, is a seasoned trial attorney with deep experience in complex commercial litigation, class actions and disputes involving real estate, employment and intellectual property. His recent victories include a decisive outcome for Sony Electronics in a high-profile class action under California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.
Elizabeth Sperling, litigation partner and co-chair of the Firm’s Banking and Financial Services practice, focuses on representing financial institutions and consumer-facing businesses in complex litigation and class actions. She recently defeated class certification and obtained the dismissal of hundreds of borrower claims in two mass actions brought by Puerto Rico residents against major mortgage servicers.
