Kyle Stewart is of counsel in Glaser Weil’s Entertainment Department and a veteran production counsel for television, film and new media projects.

Kyle understands that in entertainment, it takes collaboration and integrity for the deal to happen — and it isn’t until a satisfactory outcome is reached for everyone that the product can be created. She advises clients on both the business and creative sides, ensuring their interests are well represented.

She is particularly sought-after for her experience:

  • Drafting, reviewing, analyzing and negotiating entertainment-related contracts
  • Assisting in business development for entertainment production companies

Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Kyle was one of the original attorneys at Peter, Rubin & Simon. Kyle previously served as vice president of business and legal affairs for USA Cable Entertainment, where she assisted in the formulation of division and departmental policies and procedures and handled the business and legal affairs for all scripted pilots and series produced for initial exhibition on USA Network and Syfy. She also negotiated and drafted series staff, talent, development, acquisition and distribution agreements and researched and reconciled union violations.

While attending her law school’s accelerated program, Kyle served as a business and legal affairs paralegal for Rysher Entertainment, where she continued to work as an attorney after obtaining her bar license. She also worked at Spelling Television, Inc., as a business and legal affairs coordinator.

Kyle’s recent notable matters include serving as:

  • Production counsel for the hit television series “Dancing with the Stars” (produced by BBC Studios for ABC and Disney+).
  • Outside counsel for global entertainment company Anonymous Content.
  • Production counsel on various projects produced by Australia-based production company Beyond Productions (including projects produced for ABC, Fox and Walmart).
