Jeff Joyner, Leading IP Lawyer and Strategic Legal and Business Advisor, Joins Glaser Weil

Feb. 1, 2023 — Glaser Weil today welcomed Intellectual Property partner Jeff Joyner, who brings 25 years of experience successfully protecting and litigating key intellectual property assets. In addition to his focus on intellectual property, Joyner serves as a trusted advisor and outside general counsel to Fortune 100 companies, entrepreneurs, investment funds and high-net-worth individuals on a variety of matters. Joyner further strengthens Glaser Weil’s nationally renowned Intellectual Property practice, which is led by Lawrence Hadley.

Sought after by clients for his strategic legal and business counsel, Joyner regularly serves as lead trial counsel in intellectual property litigation in the U.S. and abroad. He also has significant experience in the execution of worldwide intellectual property development, acquisition, protection, enforcement, branding and licensing programs for patents, trademarks, trade dress and copyrighted works.

Joyner’s practice complements the Firm’s existing industry focuses and will add additional capabilities in environmental, social and governance (ESG). His passion for sustainability, human rights and emerging technologies has made him a leader in organizations at the forefront of these fields. He has advised and been an active limited partner of one of the first clean technology venture funds and has also co-founded and co-chaired alliances and foundations to help develop client industries resulting in the creation of jobs and economic growth through organizations such as the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation.

Joyner received his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law and his B.A. from George Washington University.
