Hadley Quoted in ‘Law360’ on Federal Circuit Decision Regarding PTAB’s Fintiv Rule

Glaser Weil Intellectual Property Partner and Chair Lawrence M. Hadley was interviewed by Law360 in a piece titled “Fintiv Challenge Rolls On, But Odds Of Sinking Rule Dwindle” regarding the Federal Circuit’s decision involving the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) Fintiv rule, which was challenged by Apple, Google and others.

Hadley commented on the possible impact on PTAB appealability, stating that if rulemaking is necessary, “then that does, in my view, open the door to more judicial review of institution decisions … . It’s not a big door, but it’s a little bit of a crack in the door.”

Hadley’s extensive experience includes intellectual property and complex litigation cases involving computer hardware and software, integrated circuit and processor design, wireless communications, medical devices, Internet communications, compression, and storage. His proficiency in technology has led him to appear in courts across the country and before the United States International Trade Commission.
