Glaser Weil LLP is proud to announce that Cindy Cohen, a Partner in Glaser Weil's Litigation Department, has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Financial Lawyers Conference (“FLC”), effective July 1, 2018. The FLC is a non-profit organization comprised primarily of attorneys from Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties.
The FLC sponsors monthly meetings where members discuss current issues relating to finance, banking, commercial law and bankruptcy. It also hosts an annual three-day seminar, led by a nationally recognized moderator, that makes an in-depth study of a commercial law or bankruptcy topic.
Ms. Cohen has represented individuals, financial institutions, and other corporations and business entities in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy cases involving antitrust issues, recovery on notes and debentures, breach of contract, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and other business and commercial disputes. She has tried and argued a number of complex business and commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts. Ms. Cohen's combined litigation and bankruptcy background has resulted in her representation of debtors, creditors, creditors' committees and trustees in numerous bankruptcy and bankruptcy-related litigation matters across the country.
