Ken Whiting Serves on Planning Committee for REAL Symposium for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Ken Whiting, a partner in Glaser Weil’s Real Estate Department, served on the Planning Committee for the REAL Symposium held on February 16, 2016, at Stanford University. The REAL Symposium is a joint presentation of The State Bar of California Real Property Law Section and Stanford Professionals in Real Estate (SPIRE). A member of both the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law and SPIRE, Mr. Whiting participated in the 2012 creation of the Symposium, served as its co-chair in 2013 and as an active member of its Planning Committee since its inception. Glaser Weil served as a 2016 Gold Sponsor of the Symposium.

About Ken Whiting

Kenneth R. Whiting, Jr. is a partner in Glaser Weil’s Real Estate Department, resident in San Francisco. He has 30 years of experience in a broad spectrum of real estate transactions, representing owners and developers in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of commercial and industrial properties, and assisting both borrowers and lenders in secured and unsecured loans. In addition, Mr. Whiting has special expertise in matters involving railroad property, pipelines, fiber optics, project finance, ground lease finance, sports and entertainment venues, and tech and biotech office and R&D leasing. While not a litigator himself, Mr. Whiting also regularly provides strategic advice to clients involved in adversarial matters.

Mr. Whiting served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of California from 2009 - 2011, and as an Advisor from 2012 - 2014. He maintains an active pro bono practice advising several Bay Area non-profit corporations and their grantees on real estate and business matters.
