The Opportunity

Glaser Weil is seeking a junior associate to join our Firm’s entertainment practice to assist a talent-side transactional entertainment attorney.  This is an entry-level position on a busy desk which provides extensive exposure to transactional entertainment legal work.  Responsibilities are both administrative and substantive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for phone, clerical, and administrative support
• Building and maintaining precedent charts, deal summaries and other reports, as needed
• Assisting with preparation of legal documents and redlines, drafting letters and other correspondence, and reviewing and editing prepared documents for accuracy
• Exposure to all aspects of talent representation
• As position progresses, opportunity to negotiate with film and television studios and production companies as well as draft provisions/agreements (e.g. acting agreements, producer agreements, shopping agreements)

Qualifications:

• JD and California bar admission required (will consider candidates currently awaiting July 2025 bar results)
• Prior experience in entertainment law preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor with excellent phone manner to handle significant client contact
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and excel under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Strong interest in working with talent in the entertainment industry

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to work in person in Century City office. This is not a position that allows for remote work

The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. These numbers do not reflect a successful candidate’s total compensation. Base compensation is only the guaranteed component of the total compensation package and does not include discretionary bonuses and the other career-enhancing opportunities of joining the Firm.
