Century City Senior Staff Attorney (Discreet Project Engagement)

6+ Years’ Litigation Experience

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Staff Attorney to support a confidential and high-profile project involving commercial litigation and insurance recovery matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who thrives in sophisticated, fast-moving environments and can operate with a high degree of autonomy, sound judgment, and professionalism. In addition to deep litigation experience, the successful candidate will play a meaningful role in client development, engagement and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all phases of commercial litigation matters, including case assessment, strategy development, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to sophisticated clients, delivering clear, strategic counsel and exceptional client service.
  • Actively participate in bringing in, engaging and expanding client relationships, including articulating value propositions and supporting the pursuit and closing of new engagements.
  • Meet directly with prospective and existing clients, helping to build confidence, trust and long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop and execute litigation and client engagement strategies.
  • Analyze complex legal and factual issues, synthesize large volumes of information, and provide practical, business-minded recommendations.
  • Draft and review high-quality written work product, including briefs, memoranda, client communications, and presentations, with minimal supervision.
  • Operate effectively in a high-stakes, time-sensitive environment while maintaining the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality.

Attractive candidates will have:

  • 6+ years of law firm experience handling complex commercial litigation matters.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and engage client relationships, including experience closing engagements.
  • Impeccable written, verbal, analytical, and advocacy skills, with a proven ability to communicate persuasively with clients and colleagues.
  • A self-starter mindset and proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative, strategic solutions aligned with client goals.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Active California Bar admission in good standing.

The base compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $225,000.
