Overview

Simon K. Moradzadeh is an associate in Glaser Weil’s Litigation Department, with a focus on general commercial litigation. He has represented clients before state and federal courts and in arbitrations.

Simon’s experience includes representing individuals and companies in a broad range of litigation matters involving:

Simon graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, Simon served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Michael Small and the Honorable Tony Richardson of the Los Angeles Superior Court. Simon also externed at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in both the Division of Corporation Finance and the Division of Enforcement.

He is a native Farsi speaker.

Results

Simon’s notable experience includes his representation of:

  • The Yucaipa Companies LLC, as part of the trial team that secured the client’s first—and, ultimately, complete—victory in an almost decade-long case arising from its 2007 investment in a company.
  • A co-founder and CEO of a digital marketing company in a partnership dispute between the company’s founders, including claims of cybersquatting, fraud, breach of operating agreement, breach of fiduciary duty and employment claims by opposing parties.
  • A full-service media company in defeating a former employee’s eight-figure claims in a three-year-long legal battle, involving arbitration, federal and state court actions, and a Ninth Circuit appeal.
  • A major entertainment company in an arbitration brought by a former executive claiming entitlement to millions of dollars in commissions.
  • A brother in a real estate dispute with his siblings over the partition of a jointly-owned property, obtaining summary judgment ordering the partition by sale and the recovery of substantial attorneys’ fees.
