Andriy Pazuniak is an experienced litigation attorney, focusing on environmental law. Mr. Pazuniak has represented clients of all sizes in state and federal courts and in arbitration. He has handled a variety of complex civil litigation matters, including cases involving federal and state environmental laws, torts and contract disputes. Mr. Pazuniak is currently representing a government contractor in multiple federal court actions arising from the 2015 Gold King release. Among other victories, Mr. Pazuniak obtained a favorable arbitration award against a large, multi-national oil and gas company in a breach of contract action; successfully defended a golf course and resort in multiple state tort actions brought by homeowners alleging millions of dollars in damages following massive flood events; and successfully defended an equipment manufacturer in an asbestos action. Mr. Pazuniak also advises clients on a variety of environmental compliance issues, including California’s Prop 65.
Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Mr. Pazuniak was an associate at the New York City law firm Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP, where Mr. Pazuniak litigated a broad range of environmental and commercial actions.
Mr. Pazuniak graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law, magna cum laude, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and received the Raymond Del Tufo, Jr., Constitutional Law Award. Mr. Pazuniak was also an Articles Editor for the Seton Hall Law Review and his law review comment has now been cited by three federal courts of appeals, a state supreme court and a book. As a member of the Impact Litigation Clinic, Mr. Pazuniak argued before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and successfully obtained a reversal of a district court order dismissing a pro se litigant’s civil rights claim.
After graduating law school, Mr. Pazuniak served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Susan L. Reisner of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Mr. Pazuniak also interned for the Honorable Joseph E. Irenas of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey while in law school.
