Alan Azar is an associate in Glaser Weil’s Tax Department.
Alan counsels clients on a wide range of federal, state and local tax issues. He regularly advises on tax aspects of complex business transactions, including the formation, financing, reorganization, acquisition, disposition and dissolution of partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations. In addition, he has significant experience advising on tax advantaged real estate transactions, including tax-deferred 1031 exchanges and qualified opportunity zone investments.
Alan received his law degree from UCLA School of Law. In law school, he worked as a research assistant on the American Law Institute’s Restatement of the Law, Charitable Nonprofit Organizations and served on the board of the Tax and Estate Planning Law Association.
