Alaina Bird is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group.

Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis in securities litigation and class actions. She also maintains a robust pro bono practice primarily focused on immigration law.

Recent matters include:

  • Defending a biopharmaceutical company in a securities fraud class action filed in the Northern District of California and related shareholder derivative litigation
  • Defending a global technology company against breach of contract claims in a nationwide class action filed in the Northern District of California
  • Defending current and former members of a consumer electronics company’s board of directors against breach of fiduciary duty claims in a shareholder derivative action filed in the Northern District of California
  • Representing pro bono clients in successfully obtaining asylum in San Diego Immigration Court

Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Alaina worked at a global law firm.

Alaina earned her JD in 2017 from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, where she received the Michael T. Masin Scholar Award and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She earned her BA in Journalism in 2013 from Point Loma Nazarene University, where she received summa cum laude and valedictorian honors.
