Land Use

The Real Estate Department relies upon the Land Use Group to provide zoning and planning work, analysis, municipal master planning and subdivision work in connection with clients’ development projects.  From individual developers, to bank asset departments, to local agencies and non-profits, to the largest privately funded development in the United States, CityCenter in Las Vegas, the Firm’s Land Use attorneys provide a complete range of land use, subdivision and entitlement services.  The Land Use attorneys have extensive experience with the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) and the National Environmental Policy Act ("NEPA"), both in reviewing documentation for compliance with CEQA/NEPA and advising clients and agencies as to appropriate compliance methods.  The Land Use group also has extensive experience dealing with the various governmental agencies that may be involved with a project, including counties, cities, special districts and redevelopment agencies, as well as state agencies such as the California Coastal Commission.
