The attorneys in the Firm’s Green Building Practice Group are well positioned to assist clients in navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by environmentally responsible development. These issues include the implementation of nationally accepted green building rating systems; compliance with varying statutory and regulatory green building requirements; local zoning and municipal land use compliance and green master planning; obtaining of national, state, and local green building tax incentives and rebates; green products liability issues; insurance and coverage issues arising from green building obligations; development of state and local green building ordinances and incentives; risk management and litigation avoidance; and green project support.

Our Green Building attorneys include those who have earned the distinction of becoming LEED Accredited Professionals (“LEED APs”) by the U.S. Green Building Council and those who have actual hands-on experience in the construction industry. We regularly lecture on green building topics and publish articles on the development of this unique area of the law with professional and construction trade organizations.

The Green Building Practice Group is also proud that the Firm’s Los Angeles office location was the first existing office building in the City of Los Angeles to be awarded the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED-Silver certification.
