The Real Estate Department has had extensive experience in secured lending, having represented both banks and life insurance company lenders, as well as borrowers financing their acquisitions, construction and operations.  Having represented both lenders and borrowers, attorneys in the department are keenly aware of the needs of borrowers for operational flexibility and the realistic limitations of institutional lending.  The Real Estate Departmentalso assists with financially troubled assets represents clients in restructuring existing financing, loan workouts and related litigation.  From negotiating forbearance agreements to amending existing credit facilities to obtaining new financing from alternative debt and equity sources, the Real Estate Department’s attorneys draw upon their extensive experience in addressing every facet of a troubled financing.
