TreePeople, which manages the iconic TreePeople park off of Mullholland Drive, focuses on urban forestry, including bringing tree canopy to depleted landscapes and disadvantaged communities. TreePeople also works on mountain forestry, provides educational opportunities for elementary students relating to ecology, and participates in policy work relating to the connection between forestry and water/climate resiliency.
“Being appointed to TreePeople’s Board of Directors is both personally and professionally satisfying. It is an honor to join this ambitious team of dedicated and talented individuals that is focused on a goal of universal appeal: connecting people to the outdoors and creating resilient, forested landscapes within existing urban communities.”
