Litigator, author and entrepreneur Robert Shapiro has been named by The New York Times as one of the nation's most prominent attorneys. Mr. Robert Shapiro heads the Firm's White Collar Criminal Defense Group. His list of high profile cases includes the defense of O.J. Simpson, Christian Brando, and Robert Evans, as well as the President of Mobil Oil Company charged with manslaughter resulting from a tank explosion. Mr. Shapiro’s experience and expertise also includes international law, having successfully representing numerous high profile clients across the globe including notable cases in China and Denmark, and child custody cases related to the Hague Convention.
As an entrepreneur, he co-founded two successful Internet firms, LegalZoom.com and Shoedazzle.com, and combines his business and legal expertise to advise clients in business formation, disputes and litigation. He is a frequent guest on network and cable television shows as a legal analyst.
Mr. Shapiro received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, where he was the recipient of two American Jurisprudence awards. He was the winner of the Moot Court Competition and also served as its Chief Justice.
He has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers numerous times. He was the recipient of the Pro-Bono Lawyer of the Year award from the State of Nevada.
