Construction Disputes
  • Obtaining a favorable settlement on behalf of Nevada Resort Properties Polo Towers Limited Partnership in litigation over a construction dispute concerning the development of Polo Towers in Las Vegas. 
  • Representing the owner of the CityCenter project in Las Vegas in all facets of the close out of the more than $8 billion project.

Partnership Dispute
  • Representing Diamond Resorts, LLC and Diamond Resorts Aviation, LLC in the litigation and the subsequently favorable settlement of a partnership dispute and dissolution.
  • Litigating and then securing a settlement on behalf of Financial Systems Software, LLC, Katana Software, and several of the firms’ owners in a partnership dispute and dissolution. The settlement was for less than a quarter of the plaintiff’s damage claims. 

Consumer Class Action
  • Securing the dismissal of a putative class action which threatened Ticor Title Company of California with potential liability in excess of $20 million, and in which opposing counsel stated in writing that punitive damages were "a certainty." Mr. Baum obtained summary adjudication of fraud and punitive damage claims.
