Young Professionals in Energy, Los Angeles (YPELA), will hold its first event of 2015 by taking a look at the expanded scope of California’s Cap-and-Trade program as it enters the second compliance period in 2015.

As California’s landmark cap-and-trade regulation enters its second compliance period, the number of businesses that fall under the scope of regulation is set to increase nearly two-fold. Expanding from narrow-scope, process emissions to include broad-scope, product emissions will have profound impacts on the state’s oil and gas sector. YPELA invites you to join a high-level conversation among representatives from industry and other stakeholders for a roundtable discussion of the program’s achievements, new developments in the program and market, and what businesses and consumers can expect as we move ahead towards 2020 and beyond, including prospects for linkage, invalidation insurance, and other topics.
