Clare Bienvenu is Of Counsel in Glaser Weil’s Environmental and Energy Practice Department, practicing environmental litigation, along with transactional and regulatory matters. Ms. Bienvenu has counseled oil and gas and chemical industry clients on environmental compliance, represented corporations in land remediation matters, litigated CERCLA, storm water, property damage and insurance coverage matters, and participated in consent decree negotiations with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Justice. Her experience spans the breadth of major environmental laws, including hazardous and solid waste, air and water, endangered species and NEPA.

Ms. Bienvenu received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School, where she served as senior notes and comments editor on the board of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal. She was published as a student author in the Journal, and was employed as a research assistant at the Tulane Institute for Environmental Law and Policy. Ms. Bienvenu holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University and was certified as an Engineer in Training (EIT). Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Ms. Bienvenu practiced environmental law at firms in San Francisco and New Orleans. She served as a law clerk to Administrative Law Judge Richard Mills from 2004 to 2006.
