Overview

Karen Ahearn Burding is a partner in Glaser Weil’s Real Estate Department. Karen specializes in shopping center and commercial development and retail and office leasing. She represents real estate owners and developers in connection with all phases of the acquisition, management, development, construction, leasing, financing and disposition of retail and office properties. 

Karen has extensive experience in negotiating all types of retail leases, including major tenant, restaurant, pad and shop leases; supermarket leases; and subleases and assignments. Additionally, Karen has negotiated the purchase and sale of commercial real estate assets, including multistate and multi-parcel transactions and related contracts, including site access, commission and confidentiality agreements.

Karen has also prepared reciprocal easement agreements; asset management agreements; and construction, architectural and environmental consulting agreements.

Karen also represents borrowers in documenting real estate-secured financing transactions and construction loans.
